Discover how Lampman Law will Fight Your Criminal Conviction

We Focus on Criminal Defense & Constitutional Rights

At Lampman Law, we are dedicated to criminal defense, constitutional law, and litigating cases post-conviction. We pursue post-conviction relief by filing direct appeals in the Superior and Supreme courts and by litigating PCRA petitions in Pennsylvania’s trial and appellate courts. Our goal is to preserve arguments and achieve relief via the fastest path.

While achieving post-conviction relief is very challenging, we have successfully appealed convictions on direct appeal and via collateral attack. We know how to identify the best issues to appeal (we read and review transcripts line-by-line), carefully frame the legal arguments, persuasively present the facts, and write clear and persuasive briefs.

We Navigate the Complexities of Post-Conviction Litigation

Post-conviction practice is unforgiving. It demands a lawyer’s time, experience, and attention to detail. It is guided by complex rules and deadlines that are strictly enforced. The rules are designed to limit the cases/issues courts must analyze, explain, and decide. In sum, it is our experience that a court will dismiss an appeal for any technical reason to avoid reviewing its merit. To get relief, it is essential to carefully comply with the rules, skillfully frame the issue(s) for review, and to draft briefs that clearly identify the facts and issue(s) while explaining the way the lower court misapplied the law.

We Write to Win

Achieving success post-conviction is heavily dependent on the ability to express the merit of an argument in writing. Here, quality of writing matters and could be outcome determinative.

At Lampman Law, we write to win. This means that we never just rely on the strength of a legal argument with the hope that the Court will understand it. Instead, we insist on producing written documents that fully explain our position while being clear, concise, and persuasive. To that end, we view writing to be a process. We are also hypercritical of our written work and pay close attention to attain complete analysis with brevity, organization, and with precise word usage.
